The Raptor Tracking Vehicle is the original, small, mobile, crane arm base, that punches well above it's weight. No other vehicle of it's size can move a telescopic crane system with ease over so many different surfaces and provide a solid platform for operation.
Sweeping crane shots on a remote beach or multiple set-ups to execute in the middle of a desert? When you want the amazing versatility of the Hydrascope telescopic camera crane on location, the Chapman UK Raptor is the vehicle that will get it there, regardless of the terrain (see photos below). The Raptor is our light weight, crane transport vehicle, designed for carrying and operating all our crane arms both fixed and telescopic.
The perfect small vehicle for getting a crane arm into a remote location where larger vehicles may struggle due to their size, the Raptor gets you in close so you can get the best use from any of our crane arms. Exclusively available to us here at Chapman UK, the Raptor is the bespoke mobile transport base and small tracking vehicle, designed to be used with all our Hydrascope cranes (up to the 43') and Lenny Arm Cranes.
The Raptor comes in two models: Standard, with pneumatic tyres (choice of tyre tread) and Tank Tracks for challenging terrain and very steep gradients. Both variants are fitted with our self leveling, hydraulic centre posts, which not only keep the crane arm level at all times (even during a shot) but ensures tackling very steep inclines with a crane arm, is not only possible but safe aswell (see video of the Raptor tackling an steep muddy incline) preventing over-balancing of the vehicle.
The Raptor Tracking Vehicle is packed with features that make it a popular choice for productions of all sizes who want to use crane arms in remote locations:
The Raptor tracking vehicles are available to hire with any of our Hydrascope Telescopic Cranes (except the new 73') or our Fixed Arm Cranes today.
